We have two different safaris to offer. The one safari we stay at different tented camps. Most of these camps are not fenced.
The second safari is much wilder. There are no wardens, no fences, no restaurants, no self-catering facilities, and no ablution blocks – just a few trees
here and there. We are totally on our own and stay in tents which are on top of 4x4 vehicles. Everything we’ll need, we’ll have to take with us.
This safari is for the brave who wants to experience the excitement of putting up camp in the middle of nowhere, and not knowing which predator will
visit that night. For both safaris we use 4x4 vehicles.

We'll spend each night at a different camp in the park.

This way we'll be able to view the park in its entirety and enjoy all it has to offer.

The Kalahari National Park is one of the premier national parks in South Africa. The Gemsbok National Park in South Africa amalgamated with
the Gemsbok National Park in Botswana, and together it comprises of 3,6 million hectares, one of a few conservation areas of this magnitude left in the world.

You'll experience the Kalahari in all its magnificence. During the winter months it's quite dry and a lot of activity and dusty scenes takes place around
the waterholes as the animals move through the park.

Summer months boast with a dry heat and miraculously not too much rain is needed to have the vegetation and flowers bloom in full.

Temperatures vary greatly from -11°C on cold winter nights to 42°C in the shade on summer days when the ground surface temperature reaches a sizzling 70°C.
During the winter months, when frost is common, the ground surface temperature can be 25°C lower than the temperature of the air.
Winter in the Kalahari is a cool, dry season from September to October and then a hot, wet season from November to April.

You'll have plenty of opportunity to photograph animals such as Springbuck, Gemsbuck, Black Back Jackal, Wildebeest, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Meercats,
large birds of prey, to name but a few. We'll make use of early morning hours and late afternoon drives to view game.
Those hours are normally the most productive. During the midday hours a siesta is to be enjoyed by all, man and animal.

On our last day we take a farewell drive towards the exit of the park and leave for Upington Airport.
